Vatican City, 19 February 2025 – Pope Francis’ health remains stable, with slight improvements in his blood test results, according to the latest update from the Holy See Press Office on Wednesday evening.
The statement confirmed that medical evaluations showed a minor improvement in the Pope’s inflammatory indices. Despite his health condition, Pope Francis continued with his regular activities, including reading newspapers in the morning and working with his closest collaborators. He also received the Eucharist before lunch.
In the afternoon, the Pontiff welcomed Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for a private 20-minute meeting at the Vatican.
The Vatican has not provided further details on the Pope’s condition but reassured the public that he remains under close medical observation.
