For it is part of His plan.

Leo Francisco I May 9 2025

“Sometimes, it takes someone to be exactly where God has prepared them to be—not in a place of popularity, but in a place of simplicity. While the world may argue and believe you are not the one, or even unworthy to be there, if it is God’s will, then it will happen—for it is part of His plan.”

We often expect God’s call to come with signs of greatness or public approval. But more often, it comes in silence, in the background, in the smallness of daily life. God places people where they are needed most, not where the world expects them to be.

When Pope Leo XIV stood before the world for the first time and humbly said, “Peace be with all of you,” he reminded us that God’s peace accompanies His will—even when the world questions it.

As Pope Francis once said:
“The Lord calls us not because we are perfect, but because we are loved.”
(Homily, World Day of Vocations 2019)

And as Pope Leo XIII wisely wrote:
“In the designs of Providence, there are no mere accidents.”
(Rerum Novarum, 1891)

In the unexpected election of Pope Leo XIV, we see a living example of how God’s choices are not bound by popularity or outward recognition. The world may not understand, but Heaven knows exactly where He needs us to be. Trust in God’s plan, and in the incredible unfolding of His will, even when it looks different than we imagined.
